Kind of like how women tend to not be found guilty as often as men, and when they are they tend to serve shorter sentences? Not sure, other than some kind of a watchdog group which can investigate these instances and see if they are justifiable or not due to some kind of circumstances of the crime(s), and with some teeth to do something about it if they find something wrong. If you've read the thread about police in the News forum, you'd see I'm not real big fans of them either, largely due to the tendency of them to commit crimes against people and just straight up get away with it because of the infamous "blue wall." A similar attitude extends to every other step of the way leading up to prison in the justice system, and I would love for some TR-like figure to go in and noisily clean it up the way TR himself did to the NYPD while he was in a position to do so.MixedDrops wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 9:26 pm Flying a bit off topic, but I am curious. What do you think should be done in cases where the law is being attempted to be applied equally, yet results seem to suggest something is happening during the process that taints that?
Easy example (with numbers to objectively back it up): Black men being prosecuted much more heavily for equal crimes committed by others.
And do you not think these imperfections might apply to many other aspects of society?

Well you are asking Marvel Movie Trailers for a trigger warning.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 11:15 amIt depends on the accusation...Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:55 amWith the number of times you've accused people of strawmanning, I think you might refrain from going "Oh so I'm a CHILD MOLESTER NOW?!" everytime somebody calls you out for anything.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 9:00 amYeah, you just tatoo kindergarten child molester on your forehead than start to debate the issue.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 7:39 am It will be great when we reach a point where skin color is as trivial as one’s ancestry, but we’re simply not there and have way too much baggage to just pretend otherwise.
To combat racism is to acknowledge it head on and work from there. You can’t just jump from A to Z.
That's a good starting point.
Because not giving you a Trigger Warning for SJW content that will make you clutch your pearls and stamp your feet is "being a pussy"?i do not recall saying that.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:16 am8D is an eyes wide open big grin smiley face.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:34 amWTF is 8D?Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 7:10 am

I provided some context. This shit fails long term or fails even harder with no long term IP backing it up.
It fails long term or fails even harder...because you say it will. We're supposed to trust that you can predict the future of film despite having fallen so hard on your face you're farting nose cartilage in forecasting this movie as the MCU's first big failure.
Who is the pussy in this scenario? Who was not clear about what the movie is?Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 1:19 amYou want people to start tagging their left-of-center politics to avoid triggering you, little snowflake? Did i ever ask for a trigger warning for anything on this site?

It’s really about combating “the white norm” which lumps different white cultures altogether as if they’re the standard, separate from other specific cultures. Hundred years ago Irish weren’t considered part of that norm.G-Man wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 4:05 am"Skin color" MEANS one's ancestry.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Wed Mar 27, 2019 7:39 am It will be great when we reach a point where skin color is as trivial as one’s ancestry, but we’re simply not there and have way too much baggage to just pretend otherwise.

The division between black and white is not about pigmentation. It is about what continent one's forbears came from.
I don't say "I don't see color." That's ridiculous. But I also think that you either have identity politics or you don't. Saying that "it is racist" for whites to practice identity politics while letting everyone else do so is, in effect, an attempt to oppress white people.
Maybe it was okay when whites were 85-90% of the population. But as society gets more diverse, whites are simply going to have to become an interest group like everyone else or get crushed.
If you wanna go out and show Scottish pride, the PC brigade isn’t going to stop you from doing that. If all you’re gonna do is say “white pride” then that has a different kind of context because it became too associated with White supremacy and segregationists.

Of course in current year, you now have people claiming various white countries don't have a culture.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Thu Mar 28, 2019 6:09 am It’s really about combating “the white norm” which lumps different white cultures altogether as if they’re the standard, separate from other specific cultures. Aren't all french the same though? I'm pretty sure they all wear berets and eat cheese, like how every American wears sideways baseball caps and eats Big Macs.

Amazingly well. It made 1.4 billion dollars and domestically represents the lowest first to second movie drop for a Star Wars trilogy by percent.Slash Gallagher wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:34 amWTF is 8D?Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 7:10 am

How did that outdated melanin magic work out for TLJ?Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 8:12 am Funny thing about Star Wars putting an effort to casting more POC is that it’s not actually a SJW thing or leftist tactic, it’s Disney recognizing that when you start implementing more diverse actors it attracts a larger audience and increases its chances at the box office. It took too long for Hollywood to realize this because right wingers like Ike Perlmutter didn’t believe movies like BLACK PANTHER or CAPTAIN AMERICA could make a billion dollars because they literally thought “black and female lead movies don’t make money”. It’s always been a short sighted point of view.
Okay tell me more about this Hollywood right wing cabal.

That means nothing. Look how much money Revenge of the Fallen made even though it's objectively a bad movie.
