Hey it's not the toys' fault.

...having spent five hours on Sunday rearranging Lego to make room for the Endgame sets.

(Not kidding, literally five hours.)

Yeah, but it’s only at 38th place in the top grossing films of all time. That’s not that impressive.

Not better enough! :P

Anyway, I do think this thread is pretty much done. I’m always weary of discussions of whether “Marvel movie X” becomes the first big fail. GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY, ANT-MAN, and DOCTOR STRANGE got similar “predictions”.

For better or worse, Marvel has pretty much found its sweet spot in that the worst they can do at this point is make an okay movie and it’ll do fine business because they’ve earned enough goodwill.

There's plenty to speculate about the film for it becoming a failure. It made $1 billion.

Anyone want to make out how a billion dollar film didn't REALLY make that much money. I remember the spin-doctoring some tried with The ?last Jedi.

Well, with The Last Jedi, its box office gross was inevitably compared to that of The Force Awakens, which is an insane standard to hold any movie to.

The Bayformers films made a lot of money too. Again, don't hold it to that metric. Even Mark Hamill was disparaging of that.

Trying to lump in THE LAST JEDI with Bayformers.

Next thing you'll tell me is that ATTACK OF THE CLONES wasn't really that bad.
