Re: Spammer mockery thread

Post by Yukaphile »

Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean anything by that, and I don't honestly hate the Germans. But every nation has its flaws, and I was just commenting on what I felt was one flaw in one area, as well as one from my own country to boot. Lord knows we Americans have so many as to make me ashamed to be American. I'm like the least patriotic guy out there, which is quite a change from ten years ago. I think nationalism is stupid, and... I hate the tribal barriers we call national boundaries. Of all the things I identify as, "American" is last on the list. At the same time, that wouldn't be racist. That'd be prejudiced, wouldn't it? And I literally didn't mean to offend you... sigh...

This isn't even the right thread for this! This is just seriously going off topic.

*facepalm*

Yuka, I'm pretty sure Madner was joking, given the context of the posts. You... you really are way too sensitive sometimes.

Well, it hurt, and calling someone that doesn't translate well over text. A lot is missing.

When exactly did he do that?
I called a Korean spammer a wanker.

Okay, so it's my fault for misunderstanding things. Sigh... sorry, guys...

No, it's not "your fault" for misunderstanding something. Humour just doesn't translate very well at times and sometimes the humour is not in what is said, as much as in how it is said. Here, as in the other thread, I made a satirical comment playing off of your insecurities.

Because it's a text medium. Anyway, I understand. Sorry. Can we now keep this clear for future spammers mockery? Because believe me, they will be a-coming.

In this particular case, just think about it. I make an inherently racist comment that you acknowledge. I call you out as a racist, both to highlight a dissonance in your values and actions, as well as to make fun of the situation that you called Germans "way too serious" by going all serious-business on you. I was both playing into your stereotype, as well as calling you out for stereotyping.

I know a joke ain't funny if you have to explain it, but in this particular case, that is kind of the point, is it not? I find that very funny and, honestly, most Germans would get that. ;)

P.S.: I find it very sad, that you do not get the inherent comedic value of us spamming and mocking each other in a thread about spammer-mocking. Lighten up, man. The day is beautiful and full of jokes.
