Re: Snow in the Sahara
I mean, we're due for another ice age in 50,000 years anyway, regardless of what we do. And then in a billion years, all life on Earth is FUCKED.

Savanna maybe. Warming temperatures will cause the air to carry more water. That water will mostly move north. That means more rain on those temperate grasslands. More rain means more life.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Mon Apr 29, 2019 10:36 pm Deserts. The grasslands turn into deserts. I was being facetious.

More rain mostly means more erosion, if the soil is saturated or otherwise naturally unable to stabilize and hold the water.

Unless of course the overall result is more total rain, but in the form of more rare large storms, giving time for large amounts of grass to dry and the cause more erosion.Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 10:35 pmThat's what the grass is there forMadner Kami wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 9:07 pm More rain mostly means more erosion, if the soil is saturated or otherwise naturally unable to stabilize and hold the water.

Unless you disturb the topsoil, even dead grass provides erosion protectionDraco Dracul wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2019 2:52 amUnless of course the overall result is more total rain, but in the form of more rare large storms, giving time for large amounts of grass to dry and the cause more erosion.Antiboyscout wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 10:35 pmThat's what the grass is there forMadner Kami wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2019 9:07 pm More rain mostly means more erosion, if the soil is saturated or otherwise naturally unable to stabilize and hold the water.
