I wonder when Equal Pay Day for white men is? Asian men tend to earn more.

Man, I wished I made what was average for my age group. :/

So the average US woman of my age-group earns almost twice as much as I do? That's interesting. What do gender-reassignment surgery and a US citizenship cost today?

Re: Wage Comparison by Era
Averages are easily distorted by a few extreme outliers. If everyone in this forum were hanging out in a bar and then Bill Gates walked in, then suddenly the average person in that bar is worth several hundred million dollars, which is clearly not at all representative of the reality.
There is a small group of people across all age groups in America that make a LOT of money. Like, a LOT of money. We've reached truly jaw-dropping levels of income inequality, and the stats reflect this.

Well, if you combine mine and my wife's income and divide by two we are just about exact on that. So I guess I are these people?

Gender wage gap is balls mate. Amazing how little proof of it there is actually.Madner Kami wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2019 11:59 amSo the average US woman of my age-group earns almost twice as much as I do? That's interesting. What do gender-reassignment surgery and a US citizenship cost today?
Re: Wage Comparison by Era
The "wage gap" is really an earnings gap, and it only appears when you take the overall averages of all men and compare them to the overall averages of all women. The "for the same job" stuff is pure fantasy, and has actually been illegal since 1963. The reason for the "gap" comes down largely to men working jobs that are more dangerous and thus pay more, and just work more hours overall in comparison to women, because men are more likely to be workaholics and women are more likely to give a shit about having a social life.
