I agree that this is hardly news. It stings my eyes to see something like this as a new thread, but it does at the very least meet a minimal standard for timeliness.

Retweeting onto a forum is kind of poor form, though. If you don't want to form a complete thought, consider posting fragments and tidbits to an existing thread, there's any number that would be a good fit.

An incompetent, handsy embarrassment who spent most of his life failing upward and is placed into positions of importance by sheer inertia and the collective spite of baby boomers? Sounds way more like Biden to me.

Granted that analysis does require placing Biden anywhere on "the left" which is dubious, but the parallels are sufficient for the joke.
Biden the politician >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AOC
I don't have a problem with either, but is there anything Biden has done that you find appreciable or is it just that he's not an outspoken socialist?

I am very much unlike Data from that scene.
I'm not.
You are.
We'll just have to agree to disagree on this issue.

He spent a long time in politics and seen many eras of politics is straight up enough.

You want to talk about bias? How about the fact that every AOC parody account on twitter gets instabanned but there are (probably by this point) hundreds of Trump parody accounts.

Valid point.

The thing that makes her like Trump, much to the chagrin of the bourgeois socialists that support her, is the cult of personality around her, and the hyperfocus on her in the media for basically everything she says. As much as some people laugh at Trump over his many spelling errors, she has plenty of stupid things she's said (the "New Green Deal" being a pretty big brain fart), but at times it gets pretty ridiculous.

If you're trying to compare her to Trump with respect to partisanship, then neoliberals are situated pretty squarely across the aisle from socialist democrats. That comparison really falls apart though with consideration of their power.

@Admiral X No, that would actually be Sanders. I've heard more than one person in my circle of friends call him "the leftist Trump." Hell, he even refused to release his taxes for the longest time, just like Trump. Whether or not it was irrelevant doesn't matter, it's a show of good faith, and when pressed on it, he takes on an egocentric and incredibly narcissistic, "Fuck you, how dare you question ME?! attitude. Also doesn't help that he's a white man who is very out of touch with women and minorities, and his own sexually warped past.

The tax stuff is just a distraction, and an exceedingly stupid and pointless one at that. It reminds me a lot of the birth certificate bullshit.
