I nominate the you were pansexual scene from the end / middle of last season. The imlication of playing of the Mirror Universe fuck, rape, rape and kill, pedo everything creepy insanity of the Mirror Universe sexual realm as cool might be the most offensive UnTrek thing that they ever done.
I mean in all of Trek including the books and comics!!!!!!!!!
Also Tilly's what just happened statement is added to the end for the extra cringe.

My big one was the sidestepping of the female-on-male sexual assault plotline that was reworked into a Manchurian Candidate plot, blatantly throwing away something that Trek could have covered really well. Thankfully, season 2 shows that Asher does still avoid L'rell because of this, and she respectfully keeps her distance because she now realizes that it seems like a violation to him.
A nice fixing of their divot that they shouldn't have had to do in the first place, but at least they're learning.

Yuka is right. Do we need STD thread number 672653 to discuss this?

I don't consider this thread a failure.

Trust me, the symbolism of it alone is longer than I'm willing to bear.

And tbh, I've backed off STD for a while. I've put it on record that I think they're finally moving in the right direction, and that's all I can say.
