What if people just hate condoms? I notice lots of men and women talk about how it "restricts" the depth or something like that. I think most men would prefer their own version of the pill.

First thing that came to mind before I finished reading was me hoping people didn't staple through it lol.Robovski wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 1:51 am When I was in high school one day I was given a flyer by a well-meaning person with an attached condom so I'd have one and the flyer was advocating safe sex. All well and good until I notice that the condom is stapled to the flyer through the condom. I have run into this situation twice, and I take that as an indication of just how dumb people can be about condoms.
lol again.

Oh hell yeah. I'm a shut-in virgin and even I would start taking them. Mostly in the unlikely eventuality that Hell freezes over and causes everyone in the world to spontaneously need a warm cuddle.

Yeah, if there's ever a chance I'm getting some, I'll suck up and endure it.

Well, it makes the 100 year sentence part untrue. It would still be horrible to be suspected of a crime. Of course the same thing can happen when a spouse dies.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon May 13, 2019 3:00 am None of that makes what i said untrue. I'd think that being treated as a criminal when you miscarry, even if you do eventually get found not guilty, is a pretty horrific thing.

So how much of this is earnest coming from you and how much is playing devil's advocate?

A woman who miscarries has no control, despite religious right-wing attempts to paint her as having done so. She should not be jailed, period.

Falling down the stairs or off a ladder or off a horse... Those are all examples I remember from media of women miscarrying for various reasons, some intentional. But that's media, it's not like women ever commit suicide while pregnant or a history of women who did not having access to abortion engaging in dangerous behavior in an attempt to miscarry... no, not at all...

I mean, this is very much a slippery slope, and I know that's a logical fallacy, but if you're gonna arrest a woman who miscarried for "murder" then what about a woman who was legitimately happy to be starting a family with her partner, did nothing wrong? What then? She could be arrested under that same legal definition. And a woman who deliberately miscarries, in a state with harsh anti-choice laws... tbh, I can't really blame her. No woman will ever give birth to a baby she does not want, and men AND women just need to learn to accept that.
