Boy police sure love shooting the disabled, and this one in my own town. =/

Pro Tip: If you get trigger happy when people ask you for change, maybe you shouldn't live in a city.

I mean, might as well say the sky is blue, or black holes kill you if you get inside them. It's common knowledge the police do this.

I buy the officer's version of the story. You sit in your car at a red light, being on the phone, still having the stress of another incident in the back of your mind, as suddenly someone approaches you and knocks on your car-window. The person says something you don't understand and as you turn your head, still being on the phone, you percieve something in the hand of the person, your brain decides it's a weapon and before you can check twice, you draw your gun and shoot, in what your brain thinks is a life and death situation.

Madner Kami, you would not believe how many philadelphians have hit me up for change that I did NOT try to murder. Even the ones who grabbed me by the shoulder or started cussing me out. It's amazing.

And that proves what exactly, other than you never being approached in what you percieve as a threatening manner?

edit: video removed for irrelevancy.

Of the problems America faces that get media attention, this is a disheartening condition where our protectors are killing people without much in the way of institutional resolution.

Growing up I was sternly warned not to have toy guns in public because cops are known to mistakenly shoot kids. I wasn't really sure how commonplace of a sentiment that was, but someone from my high school that went to middle school in another city echoed the same sentiments once. It's really sad.

Doesn't look like much of a defense to me, either. I really think police need to be held more accountable for shit like this. No one who isn't a cop gets to have a do-over when it involves shooting someone, and neither should they.

American police are far too trigger happy: Exhibit #10231283.

I think at this point dramatic measures should be looked at.
Disarm the police. Have SWAT on call for live fire situations maybe, but every beat cop and highway patrol car does NOT need the means to kill someone. Y’all have non-lethal ordinance, use that.

Cases like these are insane when looked from this side of pond were cops don't even have means to shoot people for smallest reasons. This is one of those "only in America"-things that are so alien to us Europeans.
