Reactionary is a retarderd word and should be retired.
What? Why? It defines a potential general political idea of restoring a previous state of society, so it's not just a cheap label.
I mean, Google defines it pretty directly as a conservative person opposed to liberal reform lol. Not really any pejorative inclination or anything.
It's kinda nice stumbling upon that a few months ago as I've never considered liberalism and conservatism as mutually exclusive, but that separates things pretty nicely there.

Words can incite violence. Words can be cruel. I think they can be inherently hateful. But they are not violent unless they're egging on violence. What do you think?
Throwing shit at someone and everyone cheering, what you guys want is pretty much a green light to fuck with someone...
And can lead to worse...
Yes, it could escalate to us playing vuvuzelas at them, or the infamous "Is this bugging you? I'm not touching you!"

No, I really can't get the milkshake, because as I said, the mcdonalds nearest the protest stopped selling them. Weren't you even reading/listening?

I am sure Obama could take some yelling but your side still got upset over you lie.
Now imagine if Joe the Plumber threw a milkshake at him...
Obama would have laughed it off, because being able to laugh off or otherwise endure humiliation or other indignities is only way to make it anywhere as a black politician in the US.

I'm not sure that fits. Conservatives are opposed to change, reactionaries want change to go in the other direction, for society and government to revert.
A conservative would, for instance, oppose reforming the Senate to make it democratically proportioned like the House, or to reduce its power in the fashion of the British House of Lords. A reactionary would not only oppose those things, they might support repealing the 17th Amendment that transferred election of Senators from state legislatures to the voting public.

Do you really think Obama was treated worse by the press and entertainment industry than Trump? Seriously?

Obama would practically spin it so the milkshake was on the person who threw it... In no less than 1 maybe 2 sentences.

The left resorts to violence to suppress speech they disapprove of. What else is new? The claim of hidden meanings and dog whistles is just to be able to attack people for what they don't say, but for what the left says they're really thinking. That's an excuse to attack anyone they want without offering any solid evidence at all.
It's like conservatives pointing at unions and raising fears of the Cambodian genocide, but conservatives have been pro-speech in recent years and won't be doing that.

Conservatives sure like to use terms that they have come up with about Liberals and anyone who doesn't agree with them but want to have actual word that discribe them banned and cry how it's "retarded word". It would be hilarious if it wasn't same time so sad.

Well, my parameters for conservatism by concept would be someone preserving culture, whether it be by maintaining status quo or reactionary politics, and not necessarily one or the other though.
I think it happens to be that a llot of Republicans in congress are reactionary, as is a lot of citizens. But like for instance, I don't think being a conservative innately entails political strategy, just selective policy maybe for impartial state/nation affairs.
edit: In other words I think both scenarios in that second paragraph entail reactionism.
