Well, there was that abortion ban, recently. That's taking rights away from women. And of course, you got their language. One Republican politician said President Obama was, "Jiving and grooving." That's so outrageously racist, it's just... shocking. Yeah, maybe they're not actively trying to screw over minorities, but then, they have defended that they would not have sided with actual decisions in the past that empowered disfranchised minorities, and so you have somebody who is only going to put himself and those like him first.
Not conservatives. The hard righters. I distinguish the two.

Basically what Darth Welgius just said is hypocritical. So he doesn't want conservatives that he is part of generalized but is happy to do so for liberals without wanting to consider that ones that he is so against could be minority. So him telling Yuka to look into about conservatives when he isn't willing to do so himself with liberals is hypocritical. More these "anti-SJWs" show they hypocrisy, more laughable they become and less it makes me want to waste my time with them.

All human beings are hypocrites. I believe John Lennon said that. That was surprising to me. But I will openly tell you I am. It's how we are.

So give me the examples I asked Yuka for. There are some racist and sexist conservatives, sure. But I can give you many more examples of liberals wanting different races or sexes being treated differently.Mecha82 wrote: ↑Sat May 25, 2019 10:57 pm Basically what Darth Welgius just said is hypocritical. Men can't get abortions either. I phrased my question very carefully -- when have conservatives said they wanted women or minorities treated with fewer rights or not treated as well?
And I believe you meant "Shucking and jiving." That can easily mean just trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes, and has been used in that sense by black politicians as well.
And it was the Democrats that tried to limit the franchise for blacks with Jim Crow laws. Republicans more often fought against that kind of nonsense.

Men never will, because of their design.
They never openly come out and say it, but it's in their very policies. Hell, look at the attempts to paint Islam as a "radical" religion, change the term to "radical" Islam, which even if you believe in that, the problem is... what difference does it make past making yourself feel good?
It's still carrying a horribly patronizing racist tone.
Don't you dare offer that excuse. That was our own hard-line elements. The Dixiecrats Nixon drew over to his side with the Southern Strategy.

You should add some nuance, for your own sake.
Islam is absolutely radical in a bad way by the standards of the 2019 Republicans and Democrats.Yukaphile wrote: ↑Sun May 26, 2019 6:31 am Men never will, because of their design.

It is extreme compared to all relevant sides in politics during Nixon.

And you know this because you've talked to one billion people? If they wanted us dead, we would be.

Sad thing is while "radical Islam" is thrown around and every Muslim is pretty much made to look bad no one seems to do same with "radical Christianity" while pretending that it's not thing when some how "radical Islam" is. Look every religion has radicals in it but rest that are peaceful shouldn't be labeled based on those extremist elements. That stance that everyone in certain religion are evil risks alienation of those people.
