Lucasfilm is ripping off Star Wars fan artists

I want to create a working star wars blaster. I am planning on getting an airsoft gun and making it a star wars gun. What are some real gun models that are similar to star wars guns that I can use?

They were all made out of real guns, so all you have to do is look them up. For example, Han's blaster was made out of a Mauser C96 pistol. The stormtrooper blasters were made out of Sterling submachine guns, and while they added on some stuff, they didn't even take the folding stocks off of them. I wouldn't be surprised if there were tutorials on how to make them out of airsoft guns already - just give it a Google search.
