Sanders has voted in favor of the NRA and any time he actually talks about going against guns, well, it doesn't line up with his own history. The NRA helped launch his political career, and he voted against the Brady Bill five times, he voted to immunize gunmakers in 2005, he voted against a host of other issues that go against most leftist positions. But that's not the only way he's too conservative.

He also claimed white people don't know what it's like to live in a ghetto, which is so wonderfully historically ironic given his ethnic background. I have a hard time seeing him as pro-NRA since as far as I've seen, he attacks it like all the other anti-gun types that think the NRA is the only Second Amendment lobbyist group out there, and therefore evil. The irony is that most pro-gun types are not big fans of the NRA given their proclivity for compromise on gun right.

I know many minority Clinton voters at the time who hated that, saw it for what it is - political pandering. Sanders thrives off that. He also was using the civil rights movement in the 1960s to try to recruit people to Socialism. That hasn't changed. His mindset is that civil rights, what he now calls identity politics, and Feminism is secondary to the white working class. He thought it then, he thinks it now. And he's definitely an old career politician who knows how the game is played. He's closer to being a moderate Republican in many ways, past a few radical views to either side (left and right).

Sweden is the gold standard for successful "democratic socialism" and they have no minimum wage and a privatized pension system, plus other things like a tax system that burdens the middle class and private individuals over corporations.

Well it's not like I did expect you to know what actual left wing is since you Americans don't have that. Only right wing that goes overboard with conservative values and little less right wing that some how counts as left wing. Not that you would realize how wrong you are mind you but still.
