Basically by ignoring homophobic stances by conservatives in UK people being against immigration of Muslims prove that they aren't against those attitudes and supporting sexual minorities (most likely they hold those stances themselves) but purely against those from other religions immigrating to UK. Well as far as campaigning, like I was saying earlier, I don't think it's inherently hypocritical, but yeah I don't think it'd be impossible to make a case for it being ironically selective.

Do you have the statistic for Just British conservatives that hold anti-lgbt beliefs? Is it anywhere near 40%?

Because we do have the statistics for the General Muslim population of the UK and it is at 40%.

So someone who is pro-gay rights and a secularist in general should be for importing more people who are anti-gay rights and anti-secularist on top of the ones who are already there? How does that make any sense?

Not talking about selecting for people that are homophobic. It's an aspect you can't really control for and that isn't exclusive to Muslims to a significant degree.

And if he's a secularist, then that's his own problem.

Anyways, I believe any homophobic figures brought up with regard to the Islamic community are people that are already in Britain. That doesn't really say anything about future immigrants.

Not to mention that poll studies aren't the most appropriate for enacting discriminatory policy.
