What would you identify as some of the greatest human disconnects?

Post by Yukaphile »

I'm thinking specifically of an observation Chuck made in his Matrix review when discussing the nature of synthetic life, that on the issue of sexuality and desire, how between, say, someone with a vore fetish like myself and somebody who is not into that kind of thing (and believe me, I could totally understand why!), the disconnect on this one issue is so huge, the gap between us might as well be that between whole planets. Well, I wanna follow up on this. What would you identify as some of the greatest human disconnects? Not necessarily hypocrisy or contradictions, though this might follow along that same line of reasoning. Disconnect from other people, disconnect from life, from your own actions, whatever. What would you guys say about that? What is the greatest human disconnect you think there is?
