While that charity helped those students it won't solve problem in large when it comes to high level education in USA. Before this is solved there are always going to be American students that are in debt just like those students were.

I agree, the government shouldn't be feeding this by basically writing blank checks for all these universities, especially given that bankruptcy protection has been removed from student loans. I have a feeling the real reason tuition has shot up as high as it has (largely due to administrator bloat) is because of federal student loans for basically whatever the university decides the cost of tuition is that semester.

One person on facebook commented that this is actually a more expensive college, some 50 miles away from a state school that's half the cost. And that, coupling that with the option of going to community college first, reduces things any further. Never bothered to proof that or anything, but yeah, didn't think of that.
