An unusually harsh punishment, but he's not going to actually serve the time due to post-Franco reforms to Spanish laws regarding first-time offenses.

They threw the book at a particularly egregious, remorseless, and despicable individual who committed a particularly egregious, serious. and dangerous assault, mostly because a lot of judges have been wanting to make an example of these shitheads for a long time now. While I don't like the precedent that the harsh sentence sets, I think that in common-law countries the impact will not be too severe, and I agree that it WAS necessary to get an eye-catching headline for the sentencing of a man who essentially filmed himself poisoning a homeless person to make a buck and to get cheap laughs from idiots on the Internet.

So...Don't like the precedent, but also I want to laugh my ass off at this garbage human getting his comeuppance.

I mean, he poisoned a homeless person. If he'd poisoned him in a different "prank", such as by feeding the guy Gatorade spiked with saline laxatives, he could've killed the dude; as it is, he poisoned a homeless man and made him physically ill, that is a crime committed against a vulnerable member of society.

Anyway, I hope this shithead loses all his subscribers and ends up in debt and homeless. Maybe he'll be in some shitty video sometime being poisoned for a laugh.

What would be the icing on this cake would be if some of that fine money went to the prankee for damages. Could turn this whole mess into a net positive.

Odd I just saw this article and apparently this is not this guys first prank. It mentioned feeding children sandwiches with cat feces in them. And something similar to the elderly. Then saying he has followers because they like morbid pranks. . .

Ah, I was trying to figure out what he meant in one of his comments "the cat-thing in 2015", but gave up because it was pretty clear that he is a douchebag and it needs not to be investigated further. Thanks for figuring that out.
