Yes, that includes straight ones. A bit of positive news, and a reminder that anyone suppressing LGBTQ education/visibility is either ignorant of or okay with the child death toll that comes with that!

Did they test for Straight Student Alliances?

Other than that... It's a correlation, which means it's not as solid as a cause and effect study. But it is science, and shouldn't be ignored.

It's a gay-straight alliance, so it, right in the name, includes straight students. Do you want to start whining about "why isn't there a STRAIGHT pride parade"?

Mea culpa! I thought it was Gay Student Alliance. I should be more careful reading these things.

But yes, I would like to start whining about "why isn't there a STRAIGHT pride parade"? Do you know how expensive my faux-leather assless chaps were? And there's nowhere to wear them! Why did I even buy those things?

No, not seriously. :) If someone objected to a straight pride parade, I'd find the objection objectionable. But as far as I know, there's no straight pride parade because nobody's really interested in creating one. It sounds supremely boring even to me. Maybe if there were a Dental Hygienists Precision Drill Team...

Apparently a "Straight Pride" parade is planned for Boston. The usual suspects are up in arms about it.

Why am I skeptical?
I hope this is true. But suicidal thoughts down fifty percent and chance of suicide down fifty percent. That is some really even numbers. . .

Since I've seen this thread, I've wondered what's meant by ALL students, particularly in caps.

Of course being in a student group is likely to serve as conducive towards enhancing attention towards a more wholesome academic experience, including lgbt students as well as cis straight ones within the group. But ALL students in caps suggests something more like benefiting every student in the school, in which I doubt as an outsider it would improve my life more than any other association I wasn't a part of. If it just means ALL in terms of whichever orientation you prescribe to, then that's a bit misleading.

At least at a straight pride parade you won't see a bunch of grown men grinding their leather clad asses in the face of underage boys

I find the concept of both types of parades laughable, but honestly the gay pride parades seem to be more about showing off your kinks than just showing you're a normal person who shouldn't be treated any differently than anyone else.
