Generally speaking using racial slurs against people is something racists do. And it's not even a common insult in context as gorilla are not associated with being fat.

And saying things that could be interpreted as racist is something a lot of people do. Unless you know his intent, you don't know which one he meant.

His intent can be assumed because it's a non-standard insult given the situation unless the racist connotations of insult were meant. You might have a point if it was used to refer to a muscular black man, as gorilla is often used as an insult to musclebound men of perceived low intelligence regardless of race. That is not he case here as gorillas aren't associated with being fat, and there are a plethora of non-racist insults for an ugly woman, pig, dog, hog, whale, etc.

Gorillas aren't fat, but they are bulky, as is Leslie Jones. To my eye, gorillas don't appear like muscular men. I know they've got muscles, but they're covered by hair and you just get bulk.

You didn't give evidence that white supremacists originated the idea, and, regardless, the people I saw in favor of that were intending to do exactly what I said. Your dogwhistle argument again assumes that you knew their intention.

Context matters for your assumptions. I saw a while (probably not Hindu) person in a classroom draw a swastika in front of an entire class. It was a vector force diagram.

No, it's a protest. But as I am increasingly finding out, people like you think protesting is merely a PR recruiting stunt, and I suppose that's why you do not think Shia's virtue signaling is equally objectionable. He's on the "right side" and you want him to recruit more.
