Did they ever come up with an in universe reason for the catsuit or was it a situation like the miniskirts in TOS?

I think the flimsy excuse they had originally was that it was helping her heal after the implants were removed.

Most likely they weren't thinking with they head but with they lower halfs.

I'm too tired to not at least appreciate Ryan agreeing on some level to do this. I can't really make enough sense to justify it with consideration to objectification, but I feel that I respect Seven as a person enough to look past it, even if on a HK level.

A note about the miniskirts - they were symbols of female empowerment in the 1960s. They made more sense then it seems now in our sex negative culture.
If anything it's the reboot that makes f all sense.
