There is something that I really want to see top of what PerrySimm has already mentioned in modern take of Voyager and that's well written and well planned continues storytelling over having reset button pressed after every episode. I want to see them face consequences of they actions while story elements move from one episode to another and characters get some actual development during story.

Just to break this down a bit, what is it about Voyager that you want?

My main concerned is to have them be lost in space not meet beings that can and Should just return them home. I just want a ship in space with better continuity ie any, and no nexlix. Although I don't want it to be focus on one character Star Trek is best when it about the the crew and worst when on one or no one.

THIS is what Star Trek Discovery should have been all along.

Like when you watch DISCO, about once an episode, some one will whine that ''we should really stop doing all this stupid stuff and get back to EXPLORATION and DISCOVERY, as those are the founding principles of Starfleet.

So the idea would have been along the lines of a Classic Trek Show:

"Captains Log 00009. We left Starbase 11 a week ago, the last Starfleet location on the edge of Sector 27. While probes and long range scans have been made of the sector....we will be the first Starfleet ship to enter this area of space"

Then, just ''rip some stories from the headlines" or even do the ''social justice" shows(if you must)

*Planet Pico Dyco Nine-- "Our away team encountered a young woman with child, who is being forced by the goverment to give birth to the baby. The young woman, Via, just wants to kil the baby and get on with her life. The crew is divided on what to do....but in the end we took the other side....and beamed the unborn baby out of her and scattered it's atoms in space."

*Planet Tako Seven--"Our away team met a reporter who was sure the new president coulded with the Klingons. But there is NO Proof. Still we beliveded her, as she was right, and we helped them impeach thier president Turnup. "

*Planet Socl Two--"this planet has a runaway global warming effect. there empature has gone up one degree...and the planet is now a FIREBALL! Everyone is burining! We used our water phasers to put out the fire, and tought the Soclins how to..er...tax..thier people to prevent Global Warming"
