Correct, except for that not being something that what I said entails.

..What mirror universe?
Re: Star Trek Discovery season 2 megathread
Sure it is. This issue over copyright making it impossible for the other shows having anything to do with anything made since the split between CBS and Paramount, makes it that much easier to classify the Abrams Trek movies and thes new CBS productions as their own AUs.

The extent of their association with each other isn't made to be certain that there's no relevant parent connection between the two franchises. MCU was able to do that pretty easily and nobody had any objections to it beyond aesthetic integrity.Admiral X wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 6:04 am Sure it is. There are plenty of comic fanboys who care, but the thing is that like classic Trekkies, comic fanboys still occupy that ''uncool'' part of nerd franchises. Its like i've said before: comics and sci-fi and fantasy isn't cool now - CERTAIN PARTS of comics and sci fi and fantasy are cool now. The actual print comics are still ridiculed that's one of the reasons why their numbers are falling so badly.BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 6:08 amThe extent of their association with each other isn't made to be certain that there's no relevant parent connection between the two franchises. And I'm perfectly cool with other Star Trek AUs existing that aren't related to the original canon, so I don't get the insistence that they all have to be connected.
