That reminds me, DS9 really had some unique elements that never really saw light in the rest of the franchise like the wraiths and the Founders. Jem’Hadar would appear in VOY but only as holographic simulation exercises or shown among the holographic rebels in that Hirogen episode.
It really was a self contained show, with the major exception being the Maquis spanning to TNG briefly and VOY.

That being said, I was speaking very ironically, I would hope one to assume.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Mon Jul 22, 2019 7:00 pm That reminds me, DS9 really had some unique elements that never really saw light in the rest of the franchise like the wraiths and the Founders. Ah, managed to see it now. That's piqued my curiosity!

Glib and casual is character change at least. We'll have to wait and see whether that's character growth or becoming unconvincingly different.

I’m sure Jeri Ryan is relieved to be not wearing a catsuit.

Re: Picard SDCC Trailer
Wait, Picard is appearing alongside the DISCO crew? There goes my hope to write it off as a bad alternate continuity... they are forcing it into the main lore. Well, the main lore past 2009 anyway. And yeah, despite their repeated, nonstop use of Section 31, I don't think those in charge got the DS9 spirit, and they certainly won't be inclined to reference it past "the war 20 years ago" or so. That makes me feel kind of relieved. At least the Cardassians and the Dominion won't have to endure their inevitable turn at badass decay like the Borg, the Q, the Vulcans, and the Klingons - yet.

We shall see. Maybe they put her to catsuit again in some episode and we just didn't see it in that trailer.Makeshift Python wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 7:40 pm I’m sure Jeri Ryan is relieved to be not wearing a catsuit.

Hopefully. At least then there'd be a reason to watch the series, in case it's total garbage. Just like Voyager.
This is sarcasm, obviously
