And your point is... what, exactly?

Say what you want about Archer but at least that show has stayed with one tone unlike canceled and uncancelled family guy and hasn't pretended to be something it isn't when it comes to their content.

I think Archer's tone is changed quite a bit by the time they stopped being a government spy parody.
..What mirror universe?

Oh I agree but I mean at least with their tone shift it wasn't as bad as Family guy's (for the record family guy enough with the Meg bashing its not funny and never was)BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 7:10 pmI think Archer's tone is changed quite a bit by the time they stopped being a government spy parody.

Stuff like Family Guy starts off strong but they kept kinda trying to extend out their gags a bit at some point to get more time exposure setup etc. Of course they weren't setting out to be the simpsons anyway, but I remember it feeling like a walking farce reel instead of a cogent story, as you'd be able to expect from either Simpsons, much less South Park, or even Archer now in days.sayla0079 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 10:50 pmOh I agree but I mean at least with their tone shift it wasn't as bad as Family guy's (for the record family guy enough with the Meg bashing its not funny and never was)BridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Wed Jul 31, 2019 7:10 pmI think Archer's tone is changed quite a bit by the time they stopped being a government spy parody.
Archer though kinda fell flat for me after they shifted the structure the agency. I've personally had better luck with South Park season narratives, but they've have a hard time finding their footing I'd say.
I really haven't seen Family Guy or Simpsons in forever, and do on the other hand keep up to date on Archer and South Park because they're released online where I can get at. Maybe I've just kept my nose too close their release for a while.

At least King of the Hill ended. So glad it did, it was already starting to exaggerate itself like these other shows have. And in today's toxic political climate, I really think it'd just be "triggered SJW snowflakes" vs. "reactionary hard-right bigots."
