Body of man deported to Iraq, certain to die, returned

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Note: It is the desire of the leadership of SFDebris Conglomerate that all posters maintain a civil and polite bearing in this forum, regardless of how you feel about any particular issue. Examples like this are why I sneer at people who want more government, because more government is what is responsible for things like this. ;)

Becuase it was the presence of a governing body at all that lead to this man's deportation and subsequent death, not just it's current permutation, right?

Sounds like my father, who basically wants ALL laws boiled down to 'no stealing, no raping, no cold-blooded killing, no monopolizing of industry' and to have his property line count as its own national border.

My whole family has a habit of just wanting to run into the Smokey Mountains and ignore the world at large like hermits. Not my scene.

The unfeeling bureaucracy it creates. Collectivism would only make that worse, btw. ;)

We're talking about the same thing here, people being sent to their death by xenophobic politicians who can't comprehend the site of a diverse America. These guys have the mentality of Lovecraft without any of the imagination and with WAY too much power.
Don't forget the concentration camps they secretly want to set up for anyone non-white, non-male, non-Christian, or left-handed.

So the best way to breed empathy for our fellow man... is to focus on the self? We are a nation and a species, not 300,000 States of One.

 To never lose sight of the individual. To do so is to make considerations, which bureaucracy won't do. Bureaucracy is binary and doesn't care about circumstances or anything else about an individual. Collectivism is all about the group.
