On a more pleasant note, I have 10 Captains total. Which I thought was a lot, but not compared to some around here. In order that I created them;

Serena Blake, Human Tactical, flies a Defiant
Zaslu, Orion Engineer, flies a Kor Bird of Prey, which I've turned into a Fire While Cloaked Torpboat
Heila, Reman Science, KDF aligned, flies a Khopesh Dreadnought
Araal, Vulcan Science, TOS era, Temporal Agent, flies an Intrepid Class (though with TOS Bridge)
Five of Fourteen, Human Borg Engineer, Delta Recruit, flies a Sovereign Class
Ala'kzhezh, Gorn Science, Delta Recruit, flies a Khaimas Multi Mission Recon
Nanira Cron, Joined Trill Tactical (KDF), Delta Recruit, flies a Durgath Dreadnough
Kenala, Romulan Tactical, Starfleet aligned, Delta Recuit, flies a D'Khellra Warbird
BunBun'Tuninine, Jem'Hadar Vanguard, Gamma Recruit, Flies a Jem'Hadar Strike Ship
Amano Sakura, Human Engineer (Disco Era), flies a Vonph Dreadnought Carrier

No two builds are quite the same in that lot.
You're going to have me making a spreadsheet. 8-)

Don't. I just like to list them. And point out that if I am speaking negatively of the game it is not from a lack of playing it. There are sections I think are awesome. AoY missions, Disco missions, Romulan exclusives and the romulan ending with Hakeev are all high points. But the writing is not consistent and well generic.
SWtOR, you get a unique storyline for each character class. And many side quests that have different flavour when doing them. The smuggler has some hilarious lines in places for example.

But STO is hamstrung by its initial development. It grows in odd ways like every 'season' of its show is an attempt to reset the concept. Like Enterprise and it seems Discovery.
I both want and don't want Chuck to review it. I like the game. And I feel that under close scrutiny it will be torn apart by its weaknesses. It would almost be better if he reviewed it like he does any Star Trek series. Play it, judge it in segments. And score them independently.

Certain segments, even missions, would be worth it. The Kobali arc followed by Dust to Dust, Victory is Life, the Romulan Storyline is actually very fun. The Felkir arc would just be fun (who wants to go to Klingon HELL?!). But yeah, a full playthrough wouldn't have enough meat to really tear through.

My characters:

Deonadra Fed Alien Sci Fleet Research Science Vessel T5U
Quinn Fed Human Tac Odyessy
Sypha Belmont Fed Alien Eng Vailiant
Jotkom KDF Klingon Eng Bortas
Veldela KDF Orion Sci Maurader T5U
Malach KDFGorn Tac Kazon Raider
Trev'Or ROM/KDF Romulan Sci Breen Sarr Theln Carrier
Rahara ROM/Fed Reman Tac Romulan Science Destroyer
Claus ROM/KDF Alien Eng Chronos Temporal Dreadnought
Bikke KDF Naussican Sci Kar'Fi Battle Carrier
Liv Fed Catian Sci Vorgon Xyfius Heavy Escort
Alia ROM/KDF Alien Eng T1 Miranda
T'Emp TOS Vulcan Tac Advanced Light Cruiser
Daren 'Liak Jem/KDF Jem'Hadar Eng Vanguard Dreadnought

I just finished STAR TREK: ONLINE'S "Gamma Quadrant" arc and I have to say it is a fully good video game in its own right and one that I would have happily purchased as a stand-alone DS9 game. It was amazing having all of the old gang back together again with Odo, Kira, Garak, Weyound, Martok, Quark, Rom, Leeta, and Doctor Bashir being enough of the cast to simulate a pretty decent series of episodes.

Nog's presence throughout is something that leaves me a little misty-eyed and I have to say that I'm glad Aron Eisenberg did these before he passed on. I hope they make a memorial to the man in the game somehow like a Nog statue in-universe or something. It's kind of weird his character died in the "hypothetical" Season 8 that they talked about on the DS9 Documentary I just watched too.

The Hur'q Arc was really done and I enjoyed the extended homage to Aliens. They're vicious, nasty, and brutal characters that were a worthy follow-up to the Iconians. I also feel like this is a good wrap-up for the "redemption" of the Dominion. Certainly, the Founders now actually have evidence that Solids would be willing to protect them without mind-control.

I'm 100% convinced the Female Changeling isn't dead because, really, impalement doesn't strike me as a way you can kill a liquid organism. The game seems to have the same belief. On the other hand, it is a decent way to write her out too in a grand enough fashion.

I like that she was able to tie-together so many Star Trek Online plots as well: The Tzekethi, the Hur'q, and the Feklhri. I actually like that the Fek'lhri are tied to the Dominion as while I didn't mind a "supernatural" explanation for the Klingons (who live in Fantasyland more than the Federation), it gives an out for someone who wanted to know why an army of demons suddenly attacked Kronos.

The best of the adventures was, of course, Quark's Lucky Seven and I think it's probably the best in the entire game. I felt a little cheated at the end of the adventure because if you're a Klingon PC like myself then recovering the Sword of Khaless is an EPIC adventure and having it stolen from you then sold to Martok cheapens the thing RP-ing wise. On the other hand, getting one over on a certain Iconian was well worth it.

If I had any issues at the end, I also felt that the invocation of T'Kuvma and the Beacon of Khaless was a little bit iffy. I actually LIKE Discovery and am looking forward to playing through the Discovery campaigns. However, T'Kuvma was a radical fundamentalist terrorist Klingon devoted to driving out the Federation and aliens. It's a little weird to invoke him to save the Federation and Dominion as he'd loathe what the Klingon Empire has become. Also, Martok is listed alongside Voq, T'Kuvma, and L'Rell. Frankly, Voq royally sucked at his job and if anyone should be in that list it should be your Dahar Master.

Still, badass to have Martok unite the Klingon Empire that way.

9/10 and a great faux-season of DS9.

I love the game but I've recently done something very stupid. Whilst I was suffering from a medical problem, I couldn't concentrate enough to play missions but I would do the duty officer assignments every day.

As a result, two of my characters are monstrously over-levelled for their lack of gear and the game has become almost impossibly difficult.

Anyway, my characters are; a Romulan Tactical Officer with a D'deridex (hoping to get the T5 refit), an Andorian Tactical Officer with a Kumari-class Cruiser, a Cardassian Engineer (Federation) with a Galaxy-glass, an Orion Tactical Officer (KDF) with a Bird of Prey and a Klingon Scientist (Federation) with a Nova-class.

You should probably play the lower level missions then.

Simplicius - you can get gear ridiculously cheaply on the Exchange. Green/blue gear is often at lower price than you could get if you sold it to vendors. Also at any starbase you can buy the basic white gear (for any level) for a few credits.

CharlesPhipps - go visit Earth Starbase. Find the elevator to the the upper floor. There you'll find a memorial for all of the Star Trek actors who also worked on STO. Feel free to drop a /salute for them. Also on Vulcan you'll be able to find a Spock statue that has been put there in just a few days since L. Nimoy passed away. Devs even mentioned working overtime to get it in the game. Also since Mr. Eisenberg passed away there have been several vigils held for him in Quark's bar on DS9 Here is one of them. Apologies for size.

Also here is Aron Eisenberg did an hour-long stream about his participation in STO and you can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UU-fWVB1-ss

I'm really enjoying the DISCO content. It's pretty much what I wanted from Discovery rather than what we got (which was okay but not great). I love the joys of battling the hordes of honorless Klingon hordes as a noble Klingon warrior as well as seeing the Federation-Klingon War that I never got to see in the show.

Landry's character was wasted on the show and she gets much more to do here. The "Impossibility of Reason" is one of the best adventures of the game.
