Anti-racism event hosted by Edinburgh University bans white people from asking questions

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. Note: It is the desire of the leadership of SFDebris Conglomerate that all posters maintain a civil and polite bearing in this forum, regardless of how you feel about any particular issue. I can't recall when I've told others to "man up" when dealing with racial discrimination. But I'm open to correction if you can point it out. :)
Nor can I.
Thank you!

Mecha82 must have been thinking of someone else. Perhaps he has a lot of contact with people who encourage or practice racial discrimination and so assumed I was one of them.

I'm quite convinced Mecha82 is not friends with people like that.

Of course I am not friends with people like that. They stand against what I believe in. It's just that it's common on internet to see people have that kind of stance when it comes to other issues. You know whole when they complain about something it's justified but when others do that they should just shut up.

Maybe because those other issues are other issues and not this issue. Different responses suit different issues. I find the idea (which appears pretty common) that you're inconsistent or a hypocrite if you don't decide upon one rigid, simple rule and apply it blindly and equally to all situations absurd.

So you're not friends with people who think there are too many white men in field X or area Y? That's good to hear.

However, I can't recall ever telling you to just shut up, either.
