And this is why they can't get laid. This is the KING of Can't Get Laid saying that!

Well that is just silly to put it mildly.

I went to an advanced screening. No shootings or moral degradation took place. Overall, it was a pretty dull flick. Not worth any hype.

Are you talking about it in terms of crime films?

Honestly, all this stuff with the media strikes me as a form of industrial sabotage.

Was referring to the screening.

It was the movie itself that was dull.

That's what I was asking about. It's kind of a loaded question, but I was asking if you were talking about the movie in terms of how the trailers portray it as a Scorssessee like crime epic.

I guess a more appropriate way of asking is, if you watched it as a fan of those types of movies, if not a movie about particularly Joker or generally as a film outing.

I'm a fan of film in general, but I'm also a fan of comic book films too. I didn't really enjoy it in either light.

Speaking of the De Niro and Scorsese, it lifts SO MUCH from his films that it made me less likely to ever watch it again and more wanting to see the better films that actually inspired it. In fact, I may do a triple feature at home with TAXI DRIVER, THE KING OF COMEDY, and CAPE FEAR, the last which has De Niro giving a more hilarious cackle than Phoenix could deliver.

Well I'm very curious as to how it holds up, specifically as a movie inspired by Scorsese movies. I've seen Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino, and Cape Fear, as well as the Departed and Shutter Island.
