Re: The great 2020 election thread....
I always knew he wasn't going to survive to 2024, despite his fanatic cult's claims. This raises serious questions on if Biden, who is much older, could survive to 2028. Same with Sanders, to 2028. Face it, people. When voting for them, who they choose as a Vice-President is pretty much who's going to succeed them before their eight years are up. Assuming the highly divisive Sanders isn't beaten before 2028. I mean, he promises the sun and the moon and the sky when Clinton had to be more realistic. He is the walking epitome of white man privilege. Imagine how his voters would feel when he proves to be as alienating worldwide as he is in the Senate? He's THE most partisan Senator. Shocking, eh? More than the GOP.

Sanders refuses to take responsibility for his part in her loss and remains as unlikable a person as ever. I see no reason not to.

Sanders is in no way responsible for Clinton's defeat. She fucked that up all on her own.

Re: The great 2020 election thread....
You'd have to be blind to ignore the effect Sanders had on those who don't identify as Democrats. He ran a blistering campaign, refused to concede defeat when he had CLEARLY and FAIRLY lost, only endorsed her after Obama likely put pressure on him, then took time off to write a book (by contrast, when she lost, she began vigorously campaigning on Obama's behalf to bring her voters on board), and when he finally came around to "campaign" for her, it was clearly only reluctantly given the purity politics dog-whistles he had. Now granted, a losing side of a campaign being hurt their candidate lost is natural, and of course, you could argue she should have visited more traditional blue states. I ain't denying that. But Sanders played a huge role too, as much as Comey or Russia (even if Trump wasn't colluding with them, I hear what the investigation proved is they definitely hacked us, just no evidence Trump knew). Hell, Mom even called our local state election board, who confirmed the Russians tried to hack Minnesota. Unless you can dispute otherwise?

I'm not blind at all. I'd argue that ideology is making you blind. Clinton screwed over Sanders and he still backed her for the election. The reason she lost is because she alienated people in the working class. You know, the grass roots people the Democratic Party used to claim they were all about. Again, she did that all on her own. You're only fooling yourself if you think anyone else was going to vote for her who didn't.

Yeah, you still think like most right of center Americans that Sanders should have won, lol. As is being proven THIS YEAR. his appeal is shallow AND HE LOST FAIR AND SQUARE. Get over it.

No, I know Sanders would have lost, too. No one who was running on that ticket could have won against Trump, and it's the same way this time around. You seem to be under the sad impression that Clinton would have got any more votes than she ended up getting for any reason. Some people weren't going to vote for Clinton no matter what. Sanders did everything he could have to support the party even after they screwed him over, yet you still blame him. It boggles the mind.
Edit: Why do you think I'd have wanted Sanders to win? He wants more government, I want less.

He had never been subjected to a single negative ad. Clinton treated him with kid gloves, and yet his base thinks he was treated savagely.

No, I am blaming him for not campaigning as hard as he could have, and then claiming he tried to help her win "as hard as he could." It's the hypocrisy surrounding him I hate, that he holds HER responsible for the 1994 crime bill that a majority of black people supported back then, which she had no vote in being the First Lady, and he himself voted for. I really think sometimes the only reason like people like Sanders is how he is the anti-Clinton and, in terms of rhetoric at least, anti-establishment.
To claim the DNC rigged the primaries against him is pure paranoid right-wing conspiracymongering. Yes, they favored her to win, but is that shocking? He is not a team player. THE VOTERS DECIDED WHO WON, period. It's the reason Trump is harping on emails, because it riles up the right of center crowd. Same way the DNC trying to impeach him riles up the left of center base.
LOL! Do you know what he said in the 1970s? He wanted the Coast Guard to defend us, and a nationalized news service. Does that sound familiar? I will concede he would have created "less government" in the sense he was SO partisan, others would refuse to work with him. So if that's to your thing, whatever.

You seem very very confused. I'm a Paul-tard, not a socialist.
