The volume has increased so much that if there's a dud review we'll all forget it by the end of the week.
Honestly it's getting kind of worrying. He must be working an absurd number of hours every week.
Are Chuck's reviews better than ever?

He's definitely working too hard... three fully scripted and edited videos a week, sometimes with music videos in them, and occasionally with massive bonus research videos... is an insane amount of output. I can't think of any other reviewer that does anything close, most only do one dedicated video every two weeks unless they have a "ramble to the camera" format that doesn't require much scripting or editing. (Even Yahtzee's game reviews which come out weekly are only 5 minutes and he's been reusing the same art assets for the entire time.) I wish would dodo *less* or take more breaks, I worry about his health... but it seems he's determined to chip away at the massive backlog. And considering he stopped taking requests three or four years ago and he's still got a long way to go... yeah. Long list.mathewgsmith wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2019 4:39 am The volume has increased so much that if there's a dud review we'll all forget it by the end of the week.

He's also probably streamlined his process pretty well after doing it this much and this long. He knows whats up ahead so he can do research in advance... and some shows hes clearly NOT watching the whole series in advance and actually just does the video episode by episode so its not really an upfront time commitment. For instance, for all that the audience wasn't taken with Full Moon, those were probably easy videos to do and fill the schedule with (before it switched to subtitles).

Is it still legal to support him by sending food and/or research equipment to his house?

Poor bastard... I mean, damn. Now CBS is coming after his Star Trek reviews. While his reviews have gotten better with age, by his own admission in his SGA reviews, I think some of the sluggishness (in some cases, mind, don't misunderstand me! - not all, a few!) merely comes from being so overworked. When does the guy just... get to take a vacation? I hope he's saving up all that money. He's earned a DAMNED fine retirement. On a beach full of women in bikinis with the tropic view, margaritas, and Hawaiian music playing.
