I mean, he's already a great villain the show despite only appearing in one story arc but man would he be a great villain. One of the biggest issues with antagonists in video games is to try and make them seem like a serious threat while never undermining players sense of success or progression. Krell is a villain you can have be a constant threat that you manage to thwart by constantly creatively interpreting or just flat out disobeying his order.
Krell is also just the kind of villain you love to hate as shown in the arc itself. He's racist, he's rude, he does nothing to improve moral and keeps sending everyone on suicide missions. What's not to Love/Hate.
There's also just the idea of getting to fight this guy in a boss fight. I mean, he's duel wielding double bladed lightsabers, is a bloody giant, a Fallen Jedi and has four arms. Imagine what a boss fight with him would be like and just being able to finally get back at him for all the shit he's caused would be both cathartic and thrilling if done right.
I was actually disappointed when he died at the end of the episode as I would have loved for him to survive just to see him in more episodes and, again, as a boss in a video game. The Umbara Arc is my overall favorite arc in the series and one of the best stories in Star Wars ever and, IMO, really highlights what the Disney Era is missing.

After what Krell did during this arc, they had to put him down. He committed the worst form of treason a commanding officer possibly could during time of war.

Not arguing that, and narratively speaking it was the only move to make and in the end, I'm glad they did it. Disappointed doesn't mean I Disapprove of the choice that was made. It's like the ending of The Tyranny of King Washington, I was Disappointed how it ended but I didn't Disapprove as it was still a good ending and a great DLC overall. I would have liked Krell to have lived so we could face him again in some way but his death still works in the narrative of the arc so I do still enjoy it.PapaPalpatine wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 10:59 pm After what Krell did during this arc, they had to put him down.
