Dragon's Lair (cartoon)

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

Yeah, it does seem like a fun idea. Having the cliffhanger end with showing the threats and the choice and Letting you guest.

Ah, the 80's. When everything had a cartoon. EVERYTHING.

I remember finding the first episode of this show on a weird compilation DVD of forgotten 80's cartoons that Warner Brothers put out awhile back. There was some really horrible stuff on that DVD, and a couple of hidden gems. Dragon's Lair fell in neither column. It wasn't really bad (at least not that episode), but I'd struggle to call it good either, just mostly forgettable. Had I known the later episodes got this insane I might've considered trying to track the rest of the series down.

I'm just going to point out what no one has made any mention of (and may well not know); that there is a Space Ace cartoon that was out at the same time on after the Dragon's Lair cartoon aired (at least in the Chicago market where I saw it). There are 13 episodes of that out there somewhere.

Hbomberguy did a video on the not-Don Bluth creator of Dragon's Lair a while back and it was one of his more insane videos.
I recommend it, even if it is only tertiary to the topic of the cartoon.

It was part of Saturday Supercade.

As I recall, USA Network (I think) played Dragon's Lair along with Turbo Teen and at least one other 3-5 year-old (at the time) cartoons around 1988. I didn't even know there was a video game for a year or so after seeing the cartoon.

That includes Frogger and Q*Bert.

Does anyone feel the vibe that next trilogy of episodes will be bad enough for chuck to feast on our agony?

I'm hoping it improves a bit.

It's not accurate to say there wasn't a game like Dragon's Lair. At the same time, there was a game called Space Ace which was the same concept, by the same creators in a Sci-Fi setting. As others already pointed out, it had a Saturday morning adaptation as well
