Weird glitch when watching reviews, they lock up

So lately I've been having a weird glitch where when watching a video it'll reach a certain point and lock up. Not all of them it seems to be random most will play fine then one will just stop playing. For example the one that prompted this post was torment of tantabus in stargate where it stopped playing and displayed the spinning load circle at around 12:05 when talking about guest stars. Click back on an earlier point in the video play bar down the bottom and it plays up to that point and stops again. Reload the page and it usually plays fine through that point with no issues.

Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Probably bandwidth problems; the Vimeo player seems less fault tolerant than YouTube, for example.
