Issue with new Video Player

Post by Rodan56 »

Um, I'm not sure what everyone else is experiencing, but there seems to be a very malicious link attached to the video. Whenever I try to play it, the video opens like a new tab that seems to lead to a virus related site. My Norton protection is doing its thing to block it, but it's clear the video's player is connected to something... well... not good.

Is anyone else getting this?

yes. it looks like the video is hosted at gounlimited.to ? https://gounlimited.to/embed-cym0ysufuclj.html

but that site uses an ad-serving network that Chrome dislikes. So my browser isn't getting the cookie that tells the video server that I watched my ad and beings the stream.

Same here. Can't watch the video. Every time I click on it it opens sketchy looking ads in a new tab. I saw someone on Twitter saying that if you click anywhere else except the triangle it works, but nope, not for me.

I had to enable an adblocker to stop a whole bunch of suspect sites from opening other windows and allow me to actually watch the video.

Edit: of note is that was just a few minutes ago with the version that is supposed to be fixed

Edit 2: it now appears that whatever changes were made have gone through and the new player seems to work as it should

I skipped the player and just played the video file directly, as usual. Sounds like I dodged some nastiness by doing so.

May I ask how you do this?
