As long as the footage is firmly in the public domain or was created by SF, it's cool. So, the book reviews and the Conics Crash documentary, definitely. Though, at that point, he may as well just put out CDs instead of DVDs.clearspira wrote: ↑Sun Mar 15, 2020 6:44 pm Chuck can always ask Linkara about the legalities of releasing DVDs if he has any concerns.

Re: Chuck leaving Vimeo
Wait why are there two threads for this?
Re: Chuck leaving Vimeo
Probably UnknownSample hitting the post thread button twice by accident.

It could have been someone named UnknownSampie that made the thread at the same time.

So, what platforms ARE left? BitChute? Internet Archive? PornHub, if he's THAT desperate?

Honestly, I think the major creators need to come together and make their own. An actual YOUtube.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 6:57 am So, what platforms ARE left? BitChute? Internet Archive? PornHub, if he's THAT desperate?

These companies really need to learn to appreciate their content creators. Companies like CBS should learn that as well. Even a negative review of a STD episode is still creating more awareness of their shows.
On the more important matter of Chuck's health, I hope he recovers quickly. I'd be disappointed by a reduction of content, but I'm sure we'll all understand. His health comes first.

Re: Chuck leaving Vimeo
He had a not-quite a heart attack from all his stress, including video stuff and house repair and moving servers again.
I'm pretty sure he had a similar incident a year or two ago as well.
Chuck needs to cut back on the workload somewhere. Just 2 videos a week or something. I know he feels obligated to get through the massive request backlog, but no other solo content producer makes that many scripted videos a week. Most only do one, or even only one intensive vid every two weeks.

There's another called LBRY - https://lbry.com/ that at least one other YouTuber that I follow is starting to use as well as YouTube - which may be an option?ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Thu Mar 19, 2020 6:57 am So, what platforms ARE left?
