The death toll has passed that of Hurricane Katrina and are on path to surpass 9/11 or Hurricane Maria later this week.
It is possible there will be the equivalent of a 9/11 death toll everyday the second week of April.
And there are projections of 100,000 deaths by the end of the crisis (that is coming from Doctor Fauci), which is more than the death tolls of the wars in Vietnam and Korea combined.

This is getting bad.

To be fair 9/11 has small death number compared to lot of other events in history recent or otherwise so Covid-19 is eventually sure to easily surpass that. More people have died during so called war on terror that did at that day. But I guess those don't count since most of those lives lost haven't been American lives.

Dude you forgot the part where she went right after that to say how many kids her age have it even WORSE and she's barely the tip of the iceberg almost as conveniently as you forgot how Boris Johnson decided to intimidate the disease he's supposed to be slowing the spread of with a firm handshake.clearspira wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 10:45 pmBridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:54 pm From Greta:

And a year from now or less, you're going to forget how badly he botched the job and say either it wasn't that bad or that his expert leadership was the only thing that stopped it from being worse.
Also, you're required to submit to me, in writing, a five-paragraph essay about what you did for kids like the one in the picture to prove you don't just use them as a convenient prop to tell a teenager to shut up about climate change.

Nothing. I have done nothing for them. And you know what else? I'm not claiming that my comfortable life constitutes a ruined childhood like Greta is either. There is only one hypocrite here.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 3:25 amDude you forgot the part where she went right after that to say how many kids her age have it even WORSE and she's barely the tip of the iceberg almost as conveniently as you forgot how Boris Johnson decided to intimidate the disease he's supposed to be slowing the spread of with a firm handshake.clearspira wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 10:45 pmBridgeConsoleMasher wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 12:54 pm From Greta:

John Oliver's third episode on the epidemic and his second filmed without the usual studio audience. Sweet Dagon, it is eerie only hearing myself chuckle while watching this.

I am making the point that if you are able to point to a national tragedy as a unit of measurement, things are getting bad.Mecha82 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2020 10:33 pm To be fair 9/11 has small death number compared to lot of other events in history recent or otherwise so Covid-19 is eventually sure to easily surpass that. Two major wrestling shows have also been without audience. WWE has taped a lot of shows in advange including Wrestlemania 34 while AEW has been using they own wrestlers as audience. Ones that don't have matches in that episode of Dynamite that is.ProfessorDetective wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2020 7:59 am John Oliver's third episode on the epidemic and his second filmed without the usual studio audience.
