Sorry, I really should be more precise about something like this. The National Academy of Science believe it can be aerosolized by talking, and maybe by breathing. This was in a study published by the CDC using epidemiological data.

The CDC did not warn against using chloroquine phosphate. The CDC warned against self-administering it.

Chloroquine phosphate, when used without a prescription and supervision of a healthcare provider, can cause serious health consequences, including death.Clinicians and public health officials should discourage the public from misusing non-pharmaceutical chloroquine phosphate (a chemical used in home aquariums).

The very article Fuzzy linked noted it is used to treat some medical conditions, and labs in more than one country are investigating its use against Covid 19, and Andrew Cuomo is also eager to get trials started.

And, in general, it is unwise to use fish powder in a package marked "For ornamental fish only" because one of the ingredients might help.

Any fairly simple, non-tight-fitting mask might stop droplets from being coughed or sneezed right at you (or vice-versa) but I'd have thought do bugger all about aerosols. Try spraying some aerosol air freshner and see if you can still smell it...

No, I'm not remotely persuaded that all the mask business is anything more than an ineffective token gesture to say "look, we're doing stuff" by making people do pointless things. They might just have a little effect if you're stuck on a packed bus or train or plane I suppose in reducing the range of spreading from a cough.
