I am sick of this insanity that is consuming the West and it is both Fascists and Communists going at it yet again, you'd think we'd have all learned from seeing what it did to Weimer Germany to ignore each malignancy, not be increasingly dragged into supporting them. All the more so that one side is condemned by everyone of the political spectrum while other garners silence from those who aren't on that extreme side of it.
You can stick it right back if you think this is just one group of crazies trying to tear down civilization.
Re: The V
Of coruse, the Left in America isn't actually Communist, but something tells me you don't care about that. You're probably one of those people who use Communis tand Socialist interchangeably and think you're smart. Yeah. Sure. About as smart as people who say Catholics and Protestants are exactly the same.Beastro wrote:No, just those putting bullets in people's head and committing widespread violence for their their own cancerous causes.[/quotes]
You're the cancer here bro, if you are literally more outraged about a revloution in Russia over a hundred years ago than you are about Neo-Nazis killing people in America last week.
Unless you think there are people being shot in the head by Leftist extremists in America right now, which of course means you are completely insane.

"Both sides"-ism is the philosophy of cowards, who would prefer an unjust status quo to any sort of change in a progressive direction.

Whatever the hell you what to call them, their violence is inexcusable and only adding to this vicious cycle the only ones who win from it are each of the extremes that garner examples to convince themselves of their righteous cause are ramp things up.Arkle wrote:Of coruse, the Left in America isn't actually Communist, but something tells me you don't care about that. "If you're not with us you're against us" is as well, and this isn't a dichotomy. I stand with those who want none of this insanity happening and wish to rid the world of other of these extremes wherever they stand on the spectrum, for me this isn't a Right or Left issue anymore but the continued breakdown of society into two extremes and the neuroticism it's breeding. Again, look at what happened with Weimer Germany and how society was pulled to either end winding up choosing one side without realize the evil of both.
Re: The V
Give me one example of actual violence by actual Communists on U.S. soil within the past 7 months. No, make that a year. And I mean ACTUAL Communists, not just anyone to the Left of John McCain, which seems to be how post-9/11 Republcians define Communist these days.Beastro wrote:Whatever the hell you what to call them, their violence is inexcusable and only adding to this vicious cycle the only ones who win from it are each of the extremes that garner examples to convince themselves of their righteous cause are ramp things up.
More "Both Sides" bullshit. Did you know that Communists and Socialists were among those in the Death Camps? I'm guessing not. It was Fascism, an inherently Right WIng ideology, that turned Germany into a genocidal dictatorship. Period. To say otherwise is to insult the people killed by those Fascists."If you're not with us you're against us" is as well, and this isn't a dichotomy. Those lines are blurred when Antifa and others continue to adopt the motifs of the Communism from the past in the same way the Far-Right has been doing with Fascism, as well as the same tactics, right down to the same name when they found their old ones weren't work to manipulate people into their camp. How'd you feel over a Far Right group declaring themselves the Brown Shirts and adopting shoulder bands while declaring that they're not Nazi's?Arkle wrote:Give me one example of actual violence by actual Communists on U.S. soil within the past 7 months. Why use them if not to establish a connection between their latter day movement and that of the Communists of days past (and those of today) - and why no condemnation from the Left for them doing so in the same way conservatives have denounced the Far-Right for their similar use?
It ultimately doesn't matter who they are or who on the Far Right are actual Fascists or Communists or what names they use, what does matter is the violence being committed as we speak by both and their aims of destroying society to shove their agendas through.
And who do you think turned the remnants of the Russian Empire into one but the inherently Left Wing ideology of the Soviet Union?More "Both Sides" bullshit. Did you know that Communists and Socialists were among those in the Death Camps? I'm guessing not. It was Fascism, an inherently Right WIng ideology, that turned Germany into a genocidal dictatorship. Period. ...and China, and Cambodia, and North Korea...
To say otherwise is an insult to those not only killed by Communism like the kulaks, but an insult to common sense by those waving Hammers and Sickles and using the same language as them while people act as if that isn't as contemptible as the vile "ironic" cries like "Hitler did nothing wrong!", modeling the Kekistan flag on that of Nazi Germany or anything else the Far-Right had done that echoes the symbolism and language of Fascism.
That Fascism took over Germany ignores the problem they faced then, which was being trapped between two sides and thinking that choosing one over the other was a sensible option instead of rejecting both. The reason why the Nazi's gained enough power to eventually dominate Germany came directly from people knowing what the Communists had done in the past and not wanting them to repeat, both what took place inside their country after the German Empire fell and what they saw Communists do elsewhere before and after that.
I'm not disputing what Fascism is or what it did, I am arguing against a revival of the same political insanity we spent the 20th Century trying to defeat and bury from both extremes, not get sucked into yet another choice between which beast we want to eat us!
And it is insulting that you'd hide those that worked for their own murderous ends in with the innocent victims of the Nazi's, just as you keep conflating Socialism with Communism. When it comes to what happened to Germany in the 1930s between the Fascists and Communist it came down to one side getting enough power over the other to wipe them out while the other failed in its aim to do so, not that they had no intention of doing that with their political enemies in the same way the blood that flowed out of other nations that fell to Communism.
All of this again goes back to point I'd tried to make not expecting this flare up, the Fascism is rightly condemned and villainized and so much so to the point that that it is often so overdone it ruins shows while the same isn't done with Communism to the point that people have, uninterrupted, continued to be Communists and championing the cause open right through Cold War and to this present day in a way that would have had any Fascist made a pariah.
And I didn't want this to happen, but leave an observation I've noted on TV since I was little.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote:...I want to leave this forum.
I'd like to think here of all places we'd not get worked into hysterics, but I don't know how the forum has been for the last few months. My laptop died, so I lost my bookmarks, and that on top of how things having going in my life made me forgot this site even had a message board.
I'll leave things here on my end, I don't see this discussion continue further until moderators have to intervene.
Re: The V
You didn't answer my question, just more "Both Sides" ranting. You are a coward. Plain and simple. You see the rise of Fascism in America, and are so weak-willed that rather than doing the right thing and opposing, you make yourself feel better about your inaction by acting smug. You have nothing to be smug about. Good, moral people don't see Fascists and Anti-Fascists and think "Well, I can't tell the difference." Sorry pal, but refusing to side against fascism mkaes you pro-fascist by default. Period. And no lie you can tell, no masturbatry nonsense about how above it all you are by "denouncing violence on both sides' when only one side is the one that used ISIL tactics to kill an unarmed protestor, will change that.Beastro wrote:Those lines are blurred when Antifa and others continue to adopt the motifs of the Communism from the past in the same way the Far-Right has been doing with Fascism, as well as the same tactics, right down to the same name when they found their old ones weren't work to manipulate people into their camp. If you are incapable of denouncing Nazis without bringing up Communism, what you are doing is saying that Nazis "aren't that bad." And saying Nazis aren't that bad is the same as endorsing their ideology.
