I never said it was soulless. That depends on the interpretation of the fan/viewer. I just said that was what I felt they were attempting to do. Recreate the original trilogy, especially with how heavily criticized the prequels were, for a new generation, and chase children and casuals with their new viewing audience. It's why they felt throwing in little EU easter eggs would help ease over the older fans. And it makes sense since they had to have known Mr. Lucas was making up the original trilogy as he went along, so they probably felt it was something they could easily pull off. Then again, I am also just speculating here. As to the corporation itself, I would say very much it is soulless. Just calling 'em as I see 'em.
