Well, Biden's actual Policy Statements look pretty good, I'm forced to admit. $15 an hour minimum wage, a robust violence-against-women act with special attention payed to queer and Native-American women, a willingness to at least consider signing a Green New Deal if it reaches his desk, etc. He's done a lot of horrible stuff in the past and outright opposed a lot of these policies, but then it would be nice to have a politician who change his position in response to political pressure, expert advice, and changing times instead of just doubling down out of pig-headed spite.
I just...still don't trust him to actually win. He has a real knack for whizzing everything down his leg. Also there's the thing where, in every photograph of him with a young woman, he looks like he's trying to drain her life essence.

Eh, no policy statement from Biden should be given a moment's consideration until after the convention and the formal release of the Democratic platform.
And really that the Democrats don't consider his personal conduct to be disqualifying gives me little confidence that platform will be as robust or transformative as it needs to be.
But that falls under the same heading: with no active campaigning and personally delivered, on camera campaign promises happening, everything is air until the convention.

Thing is his personal conduct is most likely going to bite him to ass based on what I have learned about how things work on that side of pond. Basically he is most likely going to be center of scandal because of as Trump supporters will point that out. I mean if they are willing to do something like that to some one li,e James Gunn for being anti-Trump what chance does his competition have.

I like Trump and disagree he's a child-sniffing senile politician-for-life like Biden. That said, sure, both could be better, but I'll take team Orange over team... whatever the Dems are doing, these days.

Senator Armstrong from MGRR was right. The whole system is rotten to the core.

I feel like in terms of reform and progress, a cumbersome amount of focus gets put on the presidency. It's understandable why, but it's like turning X-Men into Wolverine and the X-Men. Of course the primary system exacerbates your particular interests or order thereof from being served, but it's a tall order to get one person to just promise to put everything together for a 4-8 year term.

That's true. We really need to pay more attention to congress and governors. Just look at what a huge different state authority has made in who lives or dies during this pandemic.

I mean at the very least I like to wonder what kind of effect that would entail for general social media digest. Viral news gets a lick when things are slow, but national news is always main event.Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Mon Apr 27, 2020 9:05 pm That's true.
