He could have handled it better, no doubt. But the mistakes he's made are similar to the mistakes of other western nations in underestimating it, and it was minimized by a lot of the press's talking heads too. Certainly better than Bill de Blasio's advice for people to go see a movie.
Yes he could have his handling has been atrocious, from the get go his response has ranged from the poor to the idioitic and crass. His only thought has been how this will affect him and his election chances not providing leadership not offering comfort not offering hope, instead he has offered bullshit and spite. As for the minimizing that came from the likes of Fox News and other right-wing news sources.

Trying to stop the lockdown is not the same as trying to get infected. Trying to get out of the lockdown would probably increase the chances of them (and others) getting infected. That's not identical.

Let's see... You claim to be telepathic regarding Trump? :? He's never said anything offering hope, such as suggesting therapies could be game changers? And Bill de Blasio is a right-wing news source? Marc Lipsitch, professor of epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health, interviewed by NPR, is a right-wing news source?

Tell me again how I'm the one disconnected from reality. Go ahead.

Unknownsample, it's not worth it. That hem-hawwing, bet-hedging "well maybe he could have handled things better" is the closest to a concession you will get from Darth, no matter what arguments or sources you use.

So, after Our Glorious Leader advised everyone to shoot up bleach, NYC poison control got a spike in bleach-related emergencies.

The funniest/saddest thing? This was predicted.

and an even older prediction, if it will load properly:

*facepalm*

Not that this is that surprising how stupid those people seem to be.

Another case where facts don't quite match narrative.

Trump didn't advise anyone to inject or drink bleach, and the spikes I've seen in poison control calls are relative to the previous year rather than, say, last month. Numbers were already high before that because there are a lot more people using disinfectants.
