That said, undocumented immigrants likely can pass a citizenship test. 45 would not.

I'm pretty sure that not many people on this forum could. I've heard the examinations are peculiarly extensive of American trivia.

How about just "immigrants" and drop the whole "illegal" thing altogether. After all, "illegal immigration" is just another word for "institutionalized racism."

I was preparing to take the UK one but then I decided I couldn't spend the money on the naturalization fees at the time and I had permanent right to remain. Now that I've been back in the US for a few years I guess I'll never be a UK citizen. See, I was a legal immigrant to another country for 15 years. It took me a year to get my VISA and enter the UK legally. I don't have a lot of patience for the queue jumpers who come in illegally, illegal because they are breaking the law having either entered illegally or overstayed illegally. Hence the term illegal alien or illegal immigrant.

Due to the delay granted I still have to cut a check for $20 to the state of California but I did get my $200 back from the taxes I paid to the federal government last year, so yes but no. Did you Fuzzy?

That's not exactly the gotcha you think it is.

It might not be the most grammatical way of phrasing it but you can use word to refer to multiple words.
