Catra (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power) vs. Kylo Ren. This would actually be a rather even fight, especially now since Catra has Melog and even without her Catra is a pretty competent fighter and she was able to go up against opponents that were stronger than her like She-Ra & Hordak and was able to fight them to standstills and and even win.

Kylo may have the Force but he rarely uses it in a fight and he also has a bad habit of, you know, losing just about every major fight his in but in all fairness in Rise of Skywalker he was shown to have improved and was shown to be more evenly matched with Rey... That, sounded a LOT less complentary then I thought it would. It took the son of Han Solo and Princess Leia, the Grandson of Darth Vader who was trained by Luke Skywalker and effectively Emperor Palpatine a whole year of training in order to match or even surpass Rey, a scavenger who just learned she had the Force and had exactly Zero training, in both combat and Force Powers. Even when I'm Trying to complement Kylo I still end up insulting him.

Still, it would be nice just to see these two go up against one another in a DEATH BATTLE!!!

Rey wasn't a Mary Sue like some claim... she was a full on goddess. Reality bended so much to her will that Palpatine had to be pulled out of the proverbial ass to at least TRY and explain away her power.

Kylo, unfortunately for him, only had his training by two masters of the Force to fall back on.

Imo, his biggest weakness is that he has to, y'know, punch the enemy. Against bruisers with lightning speed? I don't see what else he has to compensate.

All too easy for them to just get into a NLF. After they said that a multiversal spirit bomb couldn't kill Superman, that he is "not meant to lose" and misinterpreted all his feats - re, ex, holding a micro black hole is hardly an impressive feat when the correlation between size and gravity here would make it the size of a mountain, at best - I don't want any characters with a potential NLF near the show. I also hear Saitama was in the running to fight Goku once, but they seem to have dropped that. Thank goodness.

OK, how about this:

Captain Kirk V Colonel O'Neill (in their prime).

For me, it all comes down to the battlefield:

Hand to hand, probably even, although Kirk's wide punches, strange judo chops and arcing axe handles should be easily exploited by someone with real world special forces training. I also suspect that O'Neill is in better physical shape, not that Kirk in his prime was a slouch.

Close up gunfight, again probably even, it all comes down to who gets off the first shot and whether Kirk remembers the ''wide-beam'' setting (which in fairness, he seemed to more often than those who came after him ever did).

Mid to long range gunfight, O'Neill. There is just no comparing a phaser to a P-90 at range. And that is even assuming O'Neill is using a P-90 and not a sniper rifle or an AT-4.

Kirk's superior inventiveness vs a special forces soldier who knows how to blend in with an environment. It would be far more even than the lumbering Gorn f'sure.

I know, it seems like a silly one on the face of it, but think about it: the Doctor has gone up against numerous godlike aliens and won. He has gone up against whole armies and won. He has been trapped in inescapable prisons and escaped.

If any one other than Batman could find a non physical way to kill Superman, it would be him. Kryptonite red sunlight sonic screwdriver anyone?

Thats in the doctor's favor supes kills them they regenerate and can just wear him down.
