Re: Coronavirus - the new pandemic
The idea of the DNC using high numbers of false voter rolls is concerning. As is the idea Russia spammed our country with bots, and have got pretty much away with it scot-free. Both are troubling. At the same time, what can you do about it? I don't think even changing political leaders will stop the cultural inertia that is the rot at the core of our civilization. It's why the DNC has their attack lines to how Mr. 45 was in on the Russian conspiracy, yet IIRC, there was no evidence found he was in on it, correct? It's probably a safe bet, but there's no hard-line evidence. So yeah, merely changing presidents won't stop that, and so they gotta keep pounding down hard on the rhetoric about bots. It's a very sad state of affairs when now the democratically-minded citizens are moving into revenge mode because they think the GOP is just that bad and will destroy our society, that they want to kill every one of us.

Honestly, take a moment to think about it. Look at the information. Judge if it's true.
If it's true, why are there facts that you don't want to know? Are these "dangerous facts"?

If it's true, there is little I can do. Though I think the DNC pushing through a failed candidate whose only real shot at the highest levels of power seems more feasible in a post-2016 world is the height of not only hubris, but completely tone-deaf to the people. I don't really see the appeal, but at the end there, people really wanted Mr. Sanders. Possibly because they think he's got that magic "electability" trait for being a white guy at the core of the 2020 election, but also more mainstream policies, while Mr. Biden is too much of an old-fashioned fuddy-duddy. I personally feel believe the GOP would have torn him to shreds, so there's some degree of warped perceptions by voters here too. I think it is mainly a generational disconnect now between older people and younger people.TGLS wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 7:15 pmThis question (bolded from original):Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 6:57 pmWhat question?Fuzzy Necromancer wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 6:22 pmAnswer Grey's question.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Tue May 26, 2020 5:33 pm The idea of the DNC using high numbers of false voter rolls is concerning. If true, however, it's frightening on a scale you can't even imagine. Since it really is an open declaration to war, that we are seriously lagging behind. And who wants a war with Russia? They are the greatest threat to the West from a nation that has nuclear capability. And throw in cyber hacking, that's just not a good combination. Though I also tend to believe Mr. Putin's reputation as this cunning megalomaniacal mastermind is a bit overstated by Western media since it's a convenient talking point to try and rally voters to challenge Mr. 45. Which is why I feel he is going to face reelection, though I also think Mr. Biden could squeak out an EC win.
That would be ironic in two ways, wouldn't it? Imagine a result where Mr. Biden gets less votes than Mr. 45, but takes it through the EC? Can you imagine the fit he would throw? And the scary part is the reasonable points he'd make. Or a second Trump administration, where lo and behold, at the end of that, he doesn't try and extend the constitution for a third term. That was a talking point being used against Mr. Obama by the GOP, and my god, how is it people haven't learned from it? History is being abused by people with an agenda to get us to legitimize their control over us, and we're falling for it! This is why I am so skeptical about voting, which I wouldn't even do if it wasn't worry that my mother would probably have a heart attack if Mr. 45 got a second term, and I live in a crucial swing state.
Re: Coronavirus - the new pandemic
You don't know much about politics, do you? The Democrats have had a strong popular vote advantage for about the last 20 years. This is because Blue states are very blue and very populous (in general).Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 1:23 am Which is why I feel he is going to face reelection, though I also think Mr. Biden could squeak out an EC win.

Re: Coronavirus - the new pandemic
So your solution is to not even care if it's true or not, and get mad at "the liberals" whenever it's brought up?
Man, take a step back from your line of thinking and consider what complete nonsense it is. Do you think you sound like a rational person when you run that out there?
I'd also note your entire reason for anyone to vote Trump is "he's going to have great campaign ads." That's your entire reason for voting for a political candidate. "He's going to have great campaign ads."
Gee.

Yeah, and? The Democrats have won the popular vote for every presidential election in the last 20 years except 04 when Bush swept the swing states. Biden losing the popular vote but winning is implausible.Captain Crimson wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 2:29 amAnd they lost in 2000 and 2016 as well.TGLS wrote: ↑Wed May 27, 2020 1:59 amYou don't know much about politics, do you?
