Another day, another police beating in America

This is for topical issues effecting our fair world... you can quit snickering anytime. News organizations owned by rich corporations only wanting to focus on the destruction rather than the root cause? Surprise surprise.

As I'd said, for whatever credibility that's worth.

But it doesn't invalidate my question. If the protesters are the ones burning down buildings here, it's possibly ruining small businesses past the point of repair, during a pandemic, fellow blue-collar workers who had nothing to do with this past some insane leftist crackpot view of collective guilt or whatever, and it's also accomplishing nothing except alienating potential allies in the center. Burning down businesses that are not part of the elite except on an abstract national level, that's terrorism. How's that gonna accomplish your goals to stop police outreach?

Well, they're at a business, not gathering to go hunting protestors. Some may be hoping looters come after the businesses so they have an excuse, yeah. All? I doubt it. Do you believe they're all just out looking for a fight?

Yes.

We have protests in all 50 states. We also have violent police escalations in all 50 states.

My city still has a curfew. The curfew is an unconstitutional attempt to suppress the right to freedom of assembly.

The amount of police brutality at the anti-police brutality protests is proving a lot of points.

Another thought: Peaceful protesters are still being maced, assaulted, beaten, arrested, and brutalized, so what incentive is there to stay peaceful if the police will treat you with violence anyway?

Indeed, if police violence and wrongful arrests are inevitable, then the logical move is tactical mayhem: property damage and petty theft against high-profile targets forces them to respond (since their mandate is the safety of property, not the community) and dilutes their ability to use force against protestors.

If you're not out there protesting, and you live in America... why?
