You’ve missed his point. I’m also Scottish, and I’ve yet to see any “NSFW” dialogue that comes close to what actually gets said in the workplace. It’s not that there’s too much swearing in ... whatever series were banging on about now; it’s that they’re not very good at writing it. It’s not really difficult; just say “f***in’” every third word, and wherever you’d use an adverb and you’ll be good. The c-word too, for variety. But the writers here are using it so you notice and go “ooo, sweary words!”.
But back to the actual topic, and not the usual bitching hijacking. Watching this review reminds me; looks like those aliens fromBattleship got their act together and joined the Federation, judging by those mines. As for being “upside down” in space, I take that to mean that the navigation software has switched its orientation by pi radians compared to its true value - the systems are reporting the ship as upside down relative to its true orientation rather than the ship being rotated relative to the ether.

Bitching, I grant you, but I wouldn't say hijacking. STD and PIC are two sides of the same coin.AndrewGPaul wrote: ↑Tue Jun 09, 2020 8:34 pm You’ve missed his point. Is it me or is this not about the episode
Re: DIS - Project Deadalus
Im starting to think that discovery is finding itself but the bigger issue i have is that i don't think they are given enough time -im thinking they might need to add a few more episodes to thin out the story stuff so they can add more character.

Maybe but who to say they won't just give that to the Mary sue Micheal and say she create the borg.

Actually I was wondering if we're gonna get an origin story of such. Really there's no reason though that the borg couldn't be some fluke computer operation gone haywire. There's nothing about them that strongly suggests they came from another dimension, quite the opposite imo.
..What mirror universe?

I don't want that. I want the alien threat to be actually alien, not a rip off of V'ger.

Unless the Borg really are V'Ger...

Except that boring, it means Earth is the only interesting planet which is against the point of the borg to show there are aliens threats beyond our heroes
