Let me translate the not-translated part of the video: "
"So... So So - then maybe you can tell me why the hell the high-council is on the mars moons Deimos and Phobos by tomorrow, while leaving the earths population by their fate?!"
It is a great review, you did there, Chuck, and this version, that you put on now is the best by far. I remember watching the other version of this review, which had you talking, but the sound of the Hydras crew was still audible.
I like the Super-Mario-Joke and that Cliff has to "hail Hydra". ^^
Great Job - I'm looking forward for the rest of the series.
Live long and prosper and "Rücksturz zur Erde" (which is something like "Return to earth", which the Orio-n and Hydra-crew use)

Re: Spacepatrol 2 - Planet außer Kurs
I get why they kept suggesting evacuation. Sure, it wouldn't save the entire population of Earth, or even close, but saving a few thousand people is still saving a few thousand people; if you don't think any of your schemes to stop the burning planet are going to work, best to just save who you can. Especially if, as a high ranking military officer, you have good reason to believe that one of the people saved will be you.

The interesting part in it is, that even the characters point out: "Wer sind denn diese XY Promille der Bevölkerung - wer wählt sie aus? Wer hat das größte Recht zu leben? Wollen Sie das vielleicht entscheiden?"Fianna wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 2:33 pm I get why they kept suggesting evacuation. (Who are those XY Promil [per thousand] of the population, that will be surviving? Who is choosing them? Who has the bigger privileg of living? Do you want to decide that?")

Re: Spacepatrol 2 - Planet außer Kurs
I have a great deal of sympathy for the Hydra crew there; sometimes the universe just goes "yeah, but that's not bad enough," and kicks you harder.
Been on the recieving end of that the last couple of days, with the "harder" this morning being "your grandmother died," and *because that wasn't bad enough,* there is an "and." Because even though it is pretty much as bad as it can get, nothing like sprinkling it with a few more kicks in the shin, right? Stuff that is annoying (but not cosmically bad) normally, but coming right after that bomb dropped, it shows the universe's full spite. (And worst of all, still knowing that, somewhere out there, other people will be having an even worse day.)
So, uh, yeah. I know you probably get this said infrequently Chuck, but genuinely, thanks for making 17 minutes or so where I could just not have to deal with crap and not have to think (very hard) for a just little bit. Kinda needed a little bit of that today. Cheers, mate.
I am quite impressed by this show actually; they might look like they have the budget of an early Doctor Who episode but they clearly still very much gave many solid craps about what they were doing. Too often we see the reverse these days.

First thousand people to reach the spaceship wins a golden ticket. Handbags and elbows, ladies, and de'il tak the hindmost.CaptainCalvinCat wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 3:29 pmThe interesting part in it is, that even the characters point out: "Wer sind denn diese XY Promille der Bevölkerung - wer wählt sie aus? Anyone find that McLane's an Elon Musk clone in certain shots?

And the original BSG too, but yes. It is unfair, but honest in its unfairness. All the other methods are unfair, but try to hide their unfairness and exculpate those who are doing the choosing. First come, first served, puts everything right up front. And it is quicker too.CaptainCalvinCat wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 12:45 pmSo basically like in 2010 or the NBSG-Pilot, yes? ^^CrypticMirror wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 11:30 pmFirst thousand people to reach the spaceship wins a golden ticket.
