Beast Wars Series Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

This forum is for discussing Chuck's videos as they are publicly released. And for bashing Neelix, but that's just repeating what I already said.

I like that it gives Rampage a layer of depth outside of being a pyscho... while presenting him as a Pyscho XD

It's a shame we didn't get to see more incidents of it.

A motorcycle, though she had a disconnect among certain circuits so she couldn't read motivations and had trouble relating to others. I recommend looking up more on that run, as it's pretty easy to find with a google search of "transmutate transformers". ;p

Oh, indeed. He's a heartless monster to most, but to a kindred spirit, he's likely more loyal and protective than most.

This episode also draws an excellent parallel AND contrast between Silverbolt's nobility and compassion, and Rampage's more selfish compassion.

I enjoyed Chuck's review, as it's a good summary and analysis of the episode, and cuts to the core of the emotional and ethical drama.

There's actually one of the comic series that includes a Trans-Mutate who wasn't twisted into a near broken form at birth, who suffered a disconnect in certain processing circuits, so she couldn't understand other people's motivations/body language/etc, and was a curious, kindhearted, and intelligent, but not quite fully understanding of other people Autobot.

In that comic, she actually ends up befriending Rampage in a different version of events, among other things, and she's a super powerful "point one percenter".

I recommend looking up info on Transmutate beyond Beast Wars, as it's really interesting!

So, Transmutate has I believe Rampage's first mention of his cannibalistic tendencies.

a line from later in beast wars from rampage that also shows the depth of his chracter

"i regret every thing ive ever done my sweet"

rampage is a monster he was made to be a monster and he can only ever be a monster even if he wished to be otherwise

The original script for "Bad Spark" had Rampage threaten to eat Megatron's spark "with fava beans;" which was probably cut due concerns about being too dark (no to mention a reference to Hannibal Lecter's tendencies...).

...since when do the transformers cultivate fava beans? o.0 I can't imagine there were a lot of bean farms on cybertron.

It's a little known fact that fava beans are a potent source of Energon, with only the Ruby Crystals of Burma packing more Energon per pound.
