Details. That was like a throwaway joke referring to Office Space. Everything else had to do with employers jacking employees, and I didn't neglect to mention that specifically.

Not giving what you should and taking what you shouldn't aren't quite the same thing, even though neither are acceptable.
That's not what the wiki said at all lol.

It's a matter of circumventing payment that's owed, not a hypothetical of what should be. Like one thing that happens is they'll change pay codes so that overtime gets clocked as regular time or something. Health benefits, that accrue on margins that you're not supposed to keep account of that find their way into the CCO's bank account. Or like in Superman 3.
Well yes but you're wording that as a contradiction to what I said whereas it's not really relevant. Whatever the technicalities you're still talking about the concept of not giving what's owed, which is different from taking something off someone.

I can't think of a concernable difference.

Theft is a criminal matter, not giving something you are required to give is a civil matter. You can't call the police for your employer not giving you you paycheck (for example) but you can call the police on them if they take your wallet.

Not very concernable all things considered.

The primary difference is that one needs you to hire a lawyer for you to get what is due you. Which means poor people often are the victims of such crimes and are unable/unwilling to seek redress and when such redress does occur a large portion of the funds owed end up in a lawyer's pocket not the victim. But what's the difference eh?

That doesn't mark any difference between the two parties.

You don't see a difference between the victims of theft and those perpetrating the theft? I shouldn't even need to say that sentence to a human being with language skills.

I think you two are arguing at cross purposes.

That's an immaterial difference.

edit: wait a second, between the victim and the perpetrator? that dynamic was never the subject.
