I cannot gush enough about this. I am pretty picky when it comes to horror anthologies. Mixed-author anthologies are hit or miss to begin with, and i usually count myself lucky if two fifths of the stories in a horror collection are Hits.
When I read Coppice and Brake, there were about three stories that I actively disliked. The other ones I enjoyed so much that I went out and bought Stories We Tell After Midnight. I went through that alarmingly fast, and there were a grand total of two stinkers in the whole anthology. SWTAM 2 is coming out in October and I am annoyed that it will take that long.
